Sylvia Plath has been discredited by men for her works for years based on their accusations that she was crazy and ignoring the fact that her husband, poet Ted Huges, beat her. Here are some of her best quotes that shut down their argument. This is for the girls who are sick of men's bs.

1. "Girls are not machines that you put kindness coins into and sex falls out."

2. "He had what no American man I've ever met has had, and that's intuition."

3. "I thought it sounded just like the sort of drug a man would invent. Here was a woman in terrible pain, obviously feeling every bit of it or she wouldn't groan like that, and she would go straight home and start another baby because the drug would make her forget how bad the pain had been."

4. "Finally Buddy stepped back 'wow' he said 'wow what?' I said, surprised it had been a dry, uninspiring little kiss."

5. "So I began to think maybe it was true that when you married and had children it was like being brainwashed, and afterward you went about as numb as a slave in a totalitarian state.

6. "Yes I was infatuated with you: I am still. No one has ever heightened such a keen capacity of physical sensation in me. I cut you out because I couldn't stand being a passing fancy. Before I give my body I must give my thoughts, my mind, and my dreams and you weren't having any of those."

7. "If the moon smiled, she would resemble you. You leave the same impression of something beautiful but annihilating."

8. "There is something demoralizing about watching two people get more and more crazy about each other, especially when you are the only other person in the room. It's like watching Paris from an express caboose heading in the opposite direction--every second the city gets smaller and smaller and lonelier and lonelier, rushing away from all those lights ad excitement at about a million miles an hour."

9. "I must get my soul back from you: I am killing my flesh without it."

10. "I have never found anybody who could stand to accept the daily demonstrative love I feel in me, and give back as good as I give."

11. "That's one of the reasons I never wanted to get married. The last thing I wanted was infinite security and to be the place an arrow shoots off from. I wanted to change and excitement and to shoot off in all directions myself, like the colored arrows from a Fourth of July rocket."

12. "Living with him is like being told a perpetual story: his mind is the biggest most imaginative story I have ever met."

13. "I lean to you numb as a fossil. Tell me I'm here."

14. "Eternity bores me, I never wanted it."

15. "If they substituted the word ‘Lust’ for ‘Love’ in the popular songs it would come nearer the truth."

16. "When you give someone your whole heart and he doesn’t want it, you cannot take it back. It’s gone forever."

17. "If you expect nothing from anybody, you’re never disappointed."

18. "Kiss me, and you will see how important I am."

19. "The hardest thing is to live richly in the present without letting it be tainted out of fear for the future or regret for the past."

20. "If you love her, I said, you'll love somebody else someday."

21. "If I didn't think I'd be much happier; if I didn't have any sex organs I wouldn't waver on nervous emotion and tears all the time."

22. "There I went again, building up a glamorous picture of a man who would love me passionately the minute he met me, and all out of a few prosy nothings."

23. "We should meet in another life, we should meet in air, me and you."

24. "Out of the ash I rise with my red hair and I eat men like air."

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
