There's something about '80s rock music that's different from the rock of the other decades. Perhaps (as Julianne Hough once said) it's the "amazing, fantastic melodies." I grew up listening to '80s rock music, for my dad would refuse to play anything else in the car. I didn't understand his reasoning back then, but I do now. (And I cannot thank him enough).
