24 Life Lessons From Disney

Disney has been with most of us our entire lives. It has inspired us to dream of adventure, excitement, and of course true love. Most of the Disney movies we all know and love have some honest and true morals to the story. But sometimes, especially to the average 20-something-year-old, these lovable Disney classics are just TOO perfect. Sometimes a happy ending is just annoying. So instead of looking at the morals of all these stories and saying "aww," let's look at them in a realistic yet sarcastic way that's a little more fun.

1. Rub shit…get three wishes.

2. Uncomfortable shoes get you a prince.

3. Don’t take stuff from strangers.

4. Your sister isn’t actually the huge bitch you think she is.

5. Space toys are in fact cooler than cowboy toys, DUH.

6. Finally we learned what dogs are actually thinking.

7. Fish are friends not food…unless it’s lobster, crab, trout, salmon, muscles, clams, shrimp, or sushi.

8. Amy Poehler is actually the joy inside all of our heads.

9. It’s OK to be attracted to a cartoon lion…you are not the only one…hakuna matata.

10. Date the ugly and mean guys cause they might actually be a hot prince.

11. Don’t lie, unless you're looking for a nose job.

12. Don’t be insecure about yourself, even the ugliest flaws are cute sometimes.

13. We all have to grow up no matter what…unless you follow the cute boy out of your window and fly away from all your responsibilities.

14. LOVE YOUR MOM.

15. We will forever have unreal expectations about what our hair looks like underwater.

16. There is no such thing as too many puppies.

17. Be thankful your parents didn’t lock you away because you were ugly.

18. Girls freaking RULE!

19. Hercules was a total babe.

20. Growing up in the jungle gets you ripped.

21. There ARE monsters in your closet but some are nice and cuddly.

22. Aliens are cute AF.

23. Cheat days are the best days.

24. Get your haircut at least once in a while.

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.
