It’s about that time of year again, the time everyone starts to talk about what they should be for Halloween. If you are anything like me, you start to think about your costume at the beginning of the month. It always lies in the back of your mind, until a week or a couple days before Halloween, and all of a sudden, you frantically are going to a Halloween store to find the right costume. Then you realize you’re broke or you just do not want to spend $40+ on a costume you will probably only wear once. No need to worry or search frantically! Here are 24 of the best DIY Halloween costumes that are quick and easy to make for just about anyone.
1. Popcorn
This is simple and pretty cheap as well. All you need is a white t-shirt, yellow spray paint, white computer paper and fabric glue for the top. For the bottoms, you can just find or make anything that would look good with the top. An idea could be red pants or a red skirt with white duck tape stripes. Find out how to make it here.
2. Donut
All you need for this is an inner-tube, tan spray paint, pink paint (or whatever color frosting you would like), and empty toilet paper rolls/hair curlers/any cylindrical object painted for sprinkles. You can tie a rope around it so you do not have to carry it and it can hang around your neck.
3. Netflix and Chill
Now this is a perfect cheap costume to do with a friend. You will each need an oversized t-shirt or long sleeve shirt. One of you will wear a red shirt saying "Netflix" while the other wears blue with "Chill" written on the shirt. And you two can decorate the shirts as you would like.
4. A Stick Figure
This is a costume that could be for anyone. All you need is a white shirt, white pants, a paper plate and some black electrical tape .
5. Sesame Street Martians

7. No Sew Tutu
Now this may not be an actual Halloween costume, but if you are a girl, you can find many costumes that are quick and easy to make yourself if you have a tutu made. 8. Identity Thief
Now this one is super cheap and can be comical. All you need to buy for this costume is name tags, which can be bought at the Dollar Store. Wear whatever you want underneath and put different names on all the name tags, then stick them all over you. Your costume is now complete. This costume will literally only cost you $2 at the most.
9. Dominoes
Now if you have a big group of friends that want to dress up this is perfect. Everyone wears all black, then everyone glues white dots out of paper, felt or any other white material that you would like to use.
10. Rubik's Cube
All you need for this costume is a couple cardboard boxes, colored construction paper, and black tape.

12. Gumball Machine

All you need for this is black suspenders, a yellow hat, white computer paper for the eyes, and a yellow t-shirt. There are many variations that can be added to this costume to make it more complete.
15. Cactus.
Now this is a costume I would have never thought of but all you need to do is wear all green and glue broken toothpicks or white pipe cleaners all over your outfit.

This costume is super cheap for any many. All he has to wear is jeans and a red flannel. Along with that,he just needs to carry around a Brawny paper towel roll.
17. Bag of Jelly Beans.
This costume is a bit ridiculous but super cheap and quick if you need a very last minute. All it requires is a clear garbage bag, balloons, and a red ribbon.
18. Pineapple or Strawberry.
This costume requires an oversized t-shirt (red or yellow), green fabric for the stem, and white or black paint marker for the texture marks on the shirts.

Buy an oversized yellow t-shirt and decorate the shirt with fabric markers to match your favorite emoji and you are guaranteed to look cute!

21. A Homeless Person
This costume is priceless. Wear some ragged looking clothes, rub some dirt on your skin, and hold up a piece of paper or cardboard and write on it "will work for _____".
22. Cat Lady
Wear a robe, glue little cats all over the robe, some hair rollers in your hair, and wear some slippers. This is all common things most girls already own. Carry around a bottle of wine and there you go, you are officially a cat lady.
This can be a little on the scary side but on a cheap budget. Wear all black, add a mask, and then has a toy gun, sword, or knife.
24. Starbucks Drink
This one is for the girl who loves Starbucks. All you need is a white dress, green leggings, and a brown paper bag to wrap around your waist. Add the Starbucks logo, and you are your favorite coffee drink.
