The hashtag #JustGirlyThings is my favorite hashtag and my least favorite hashtag (see point 19). I read a lot of them and relate immediately. I read others and want to throw up and do something violent because of how stupid they make our gender look. So, these are my actual #justgirlythings:
1. Wearing men's deodorant. It's better.
2. Doing the same job as a man but while wearing 4 inch heels.
3. Wearing clothes because we like them, not because you do. We dress for ourselves, not for you.
4. Complaining about your mom but doing the exact same thing. She's so controlling and so are we.
5. Lying about how far away you are from a destination. I'm 5 minutes away!
6. Constantly resenting boys for the ways their lives are easier than ours. No periods, no childbirth, and can wear shorts and a teeshirt to 90% of occasions.
7. Going through child birth but still being the weaker sex. This doesn't even make sense.
8. Constantly being glad we're girls not boys. It's hard, but it's worth it to be a woman.
9. Being able to open jars.
10. Letting boys open jars for us to make them feel good about themselves.
11. Letting boys open jars for us because we're lazy.
12. Following people you hate on social media... and getting mad every time you see their posts, but yet you don't unfollow them.
13. Liking sports.
14. Not liking sports.
15. Liking the men who play sports.
16. Being a doctor, police officer or stay at home mom. We do it all, and it's all girly.
17. Wanting alone time but not wanting to be alone.
18. Being judgmental but hating being judged. See below point.
19. Being hypocritical.
20. Not being afraid of spiders.
21. Still making a guy kill the spider for you. It's funny because he's probably afraid of them but doesn't want to show it.
22. Liking pink. I don't care if you think it's stupid to have everything that could possibly be pink be pink.
23. Really hating pink. I respect that too.
24. Kind of hating the word girly. It reminds you of one of your grandmother's friends who was constantly referring to you as "girly!" "Hey girly! What are you up to?"
What girly things have you experienced?
