High school is a time when you meet tons of people, and people are constantly going through phases. No matter the size of the school, you'll be able to find at least one of these 23 types of girls. If you graduated already, I'm sure a few more come to mind even quicker.

1. The Hand Sanitizer girl.

She always has hand sanitizer on-hand, and typically lots of different scents. You'll be sure to know it's her when you can see the Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer hanging off her backpack.

2. The gum holder.

You will never fail to see a swarm of people around her after lunch. She is a giving and caring girl who everyone takes advantage of. They know she just can't say no to handing out gum.

3. The athlete.

This is the girl who plays nearly every sport. She's always in her jersey and always talking about sports. She is even super competitive in gym class.

4. The one who always has braces.

A lot of people have braces, but this is the girl who never seems to get them off. She may still have them on when graduation rolls around.

5. The girl who got a new car for her sweet sixteen.

Everyone is jealous of her. Whether it is because she is lucky or is spoiled, everyone gets jealous when she posts pictures of her brand spanking new car.

6. The brainiac.

She is highly intellectual and always has her nose in a book. She even won spelling bees or other intellectual contests the school held.

7. The try-hard.

High school takes minimal effort to pass, but this girl is constantly putting her all into it. She will turn a 2 page paper into 6 page paper. She tries so hard and looks so extra.

8. The bum.

High school is where girls put maximum effort into their makeup and style. This girl on the other hand can be seen in sweats, a t-shirt, and sweatshirt every single day of the year. Probably even on picture day.

9. The Aeropostale lover.

Middle school is the time where everyone wears Aeropostale. By high school, that trend is extinct with the exception of the one girl who will still wear all things Aeropostale.

10. The girl who's stuck in high school.

This is the girl who may have graduated high school, but it's like she never left. She is constantly hanging out with kids in high school, and you will see her at nearly every high school event.

11. The girl who is obsessed with monograms.

Whatever you can monogram, will be monogrammed by this girl. From her phone case to her backpack to even her earrings, she won't let you forget what her initials are.

12. The gothic girl.

You can spot her in a band tee, combat boots, and all black everything. It's just a phase.

13. The brown-noser.

Nearly every faculty member loves her, but it is really only because of her sucking up to them.

14. The girl who always hit on the male teachers.

She will not stop talking about how attractive the male teachers are. Until graduation, her crush on these teachers will never cease.

15. The one who wants to be a queen.

She may win, or she may not. Whatever the outcome, this girl will always be striving to be queen. Didn't win homecoming queen? You best believe she will be trying for prom queen.

16. The overachiever.

This girl is involved in everything. She will live at the school with how much she gets involved.

17. The one that always gets around.

You already know every dude in the school has touched her. She really doesn't know the definition of "no."

18. The one who always gets dress coded.

She gets dress coded so often she is used to it by now. She could be wearing a dress with legging underneath and somehow she will still get dress coded for wearing leggings.

19. The one who never gets dress coded.

She is the one who will wear the shortest of skirts and will always bare her shoulders, yet she mysteriously never gets dress coded.

20. The future art major.

She is always in the art studio and taking art classes. You always see her carrying her artwork around and you even see her artwork plastered all over the school.

21. The golden child.

This girl wins everything and is liked by every adult. You can try your absolute hardest to excel in school and she will still beat you.

22. The stereotypical cheerleader.

Do I need to say anything more? She is a peppy, skinny girl who loves to do splits. She even wears her boyfriend's football jersey on game day to school.

23. The one who is always in a relationship.

This girl does not know what it means to be single. No matter the number of relationships she has throughout the years, there won't be a day you won't see her kissing her man in the hallway.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
