23 Thoughts That Cross A 23-Year-Old's Mind

When I turned 23 I was a little concerned, because Blink 182 says that no one likes you when you're 23. I've successfully made it 7 months into my 23rd year and I have to say that I think this could be false. With the terrible thought of our mid 20's rapidly approaching, here are 23 more thoughts that cross a 23 year old's mind.

1. Do I really have to go to work today?

2. I’m going to start eating healthy.

3. …..tomorrow.

4. Do I have enough sick time saved to just go back to bed?

5. I’m only 23, the world is my oyster!

6. I need a vacation.

7. HOLY SHIT I’M 23 I’M ALMOST IN MY MID 20’S I’M SO OLD!

8. Am I too young to retire?

9. I wish I could go back to college so I could nap every day.

10. Being an adult sucks.

11. How much longer until I have my shit figured out?

12. At what age am I too old to shop at Forever 21?

13. Is it acceptable for me to be in bed by 8?

14. Am I 23 or 83?

15. Why do my joints hurt?

16. How come it takes me 3 days to recover after a night out?

17. When do I become good at cooking?

18. I definitely thought I’d have my shit figured out by now.

19. Is boxed mac and cheese still an acceptable meal?

20. That better not be a gray hair.

21. Are you fucking serious?

22. Blink 182 said no one likes you when you’re 23.

23. Maybe 24 will be better.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
