23 Thoughts While Posting An Instagram

If you use Instagram the right way, you know how critical the process of posting a photo can be. There is a lot of time and effort that goes into creating the successful Instagram post. Those who are dedicated to maintaining the perfect Instagram account are plagued with a constant anxiety of whether or not the correct filter was chosen, if the caption was funny enough and many more conflicts like these. If you're like me, (basic AF), these thoughts have probably crossed your mind while posting an Instagram:

1. Is this photo really Instagram worthy?

2. Maybe it would do better on VSCO.

3. I'll ask the group chat.

4. Instagram it is.

5. Now, the editing stage.

6. Should I use one of those fancy editing apps that makes me look 20 pounds lighter and three shades darker?

7. Of course I should.

8. Perhaps I overdid it on the old editing. I don't even look like myself.

9. Let's just stick to the original filters.

10. Lo-Fi makes me look tan, but I love a good black and white photo.

11. Here comes the hardest decision of them all: the caption.

12. I've got to come up with something witty.

13. I need the approval from the group chat before I post.

14. Wait a second- am I posting at a prime time?

15. Whatever, it'll get plenty of likes.

16. Okay- 1, 2, 3, POST!

17. "Everyone go like my Instagram, I just posted!"

18. My like-to-minute ratio is not what I expected.

19. Should I delete it?

20. No, I have faith. My followers are loyal likers.

21. At what time is it acceptable for me to like my own Instagram?

22. Screw it. *Double tap*

23. Another successful Instagram.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
