1. The amount of girls that are here to open their bids...

2. Why is it taking forever to get our bid cards?

3. What if my bid card got lost? 

4. Just kidding, finally got my card. 

5. PHEW.

6. *holds card up to light*

7. As much as I'm trying to see what it is, it's not working.

8. *after what feels like 18 years, finally gets to open card*

9. Yes.

10. YES. YES. YES. 

11. *runs and almost (almost) trips*

12. I wonder who's in my pledge class.

13. ...and who my temporary bigs will be...

14. ...and who my real big will be.

15. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.

16. So much cheering 

17. But let's be honest, I enjoy the excitement. 

18. ...and all of the older girls seem to be very welcoming.

19. ...and all of the girls in my pledge class seem open to meeting new people.

20. This won't be bad at all.

21. I can't wait to wear my bid day shirt around campus.

22. I will be a PRO at wearing my sorority clothes.

23. So let's get these next four years started.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.
