23 Signs You Are Completely Ready To Go Back To College

As the summer comes close to an end, many of us college students can hardly wait to be back on our beloved campuses with the people we miss more than anything. Parents and hometown friends, don't get us wrong, we love you all and wouldn't trade the time we have had with you for the world. But after a few months at home, we miss our lives at college more than ever. There are many signs that make it obvious we are all missing our home-away-from-home.

1. Packing has become something to look forward to, and you hate packing.

Normally, packing is a hassle and something we all tend to put off. In the case of packing for college, on the other hand, it's never too early.

2. Something along the lines of "Things To Do This Semester" has been a note in your phone for over a month now.

The amount of on-campus plans you have made this summer is ridiculous and they are making you more anxious than ever.

3. You're not sure how much longer you can settle for the gym at home.

You miss your school's recreation center every day. Every day.

4. You miss the sound of the end-of-class whistle. A lot.

There is something indescribable about this sound. It just sounds like home.

5. You send the text "I MISS U" to someone probably five times a day.

Many of your best friends are hundreds of miles away, and you all constantly remind each other that you are barely surviving without them.

6. Your GroupMe's have become thoroughly depressing.

GroupMe is a gift from God when it comes to keeping in touch with long distance friends, but literally everything you talk about makes you miss them more and more.

7. You can't buy clothes without asking yourself, "Could I wear this out?"

You miss going out on the weekends probably too much, and the only thing that makes you feel better is stocking up on potential going-out clothes. You can't go shopping without this on your mind.

8. You always have leftover paint on your fingers from all your crafting.

Yeah, you're a little eager to move in and decorate your room.

9. Pizza doesn't taste the same here.

Ordering pizza at 2 a.m. in your favorite town with your best friends is one of the things that makes college so great. Pizza in your hometown just does not have the same effect on you nor does it taste as good as your favorite college town pizza.

10. You suffer from walking-to-campus withdrawals and often find yourself pacing around your house.

You became very used to those everyday walks to class and now you have nowhere to walk to. It's been a little bit of a culture shock.

11. You've been mistaking random people for famous basketball players.

When you're used to seeing them all the time on campus, sometimes you forget where you are and mistakenly see one walking out of Target.

12. You smile way too big when someone asks you if you're ready for school.

You've stopped trying to downplay how excited you are.

13. You've hurt your mom's feelings a few too many times with the answer, "Yes, yes I am."

She hates that you actually want to leave her, but you hope she knows it's not to get away from her. You just really love your school.

14. You have exhausted the list of "fun things to do here."

You've realized there are about 2.5 fun things to do here.

15. If you had the option to leave tomorrow, you would seriously consider it.

But it's not a very tough decision.

16. The only thing you look forward to on the weekends now is sleeping in.

You miss the thrill of college town excitement on the weekends. That is worth looking forward to.

17. You actually miss going to the library.

It may sound weird, but you did spend many hours of your life in there. It became a sanctuary.

18. Netflix has become your reason for little to no sleep.

In college, staying up late either means you are studying or you are out having fun, but either way, you are always more productive with your nights there than you are here.

19. You can't go on the highway without being tempted to head straight for campus.

Every time you pass that exit feels like a knife to the heart.

20. Being home feels like being back in high school.

Nobody missed the drama and the cliques from high school, but coming back either means you have to face that or try really hard to avoid it. But you wouldn't have to do either in college.

21. You've come to terms with saying goodbye to your bed and your shower.

If it means getting to move in with your friends, yeah, you can say goodbye.

22. Being home is making you anti-social.

College is filled with a ton of opportunities to be social every day and even forces you to be social at times. You don't have that at home, and you're afraid you're becoming a recluse.

23. Not even Chipotle can fill the void.

You know it's bad when not even your favorite food can help.

Let's face it: At this point, we are more than ready to go back.

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
