Have you ever thought to yourself, "Wow, this rock star is super hot, super cool, and his songs are really 'jammin'?" One could say this about various dudes in the music industry, but there is one man who rises above them all — a real 'rebel', a true American hero —Mr. Thomas Earl Petty. 12. He's in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (duh).
13. He collab'ed with Bob Dylan — the man, the myth, the legend — and Stevie Nicks — the *~*~*coolest*~~*~ of cool girls.

15. He played 'Lucky', a character from TV series "King Of The Hill" who happens to look and talk exactly like Tom himself.
16. He has also starred on "Saturday Night Live" five times.
17. There is a slang term after his name, "Tom Pettying," which is used mainly in the hip-hop world and translates as—having a wild, fun, unpredictable night.
18. He has performed with at least three bands, including The Traveling Wilburys, Mudcrutch, and most recently and commonly known, The Heartbreakers.
