Since I was a young girl, I’ve always preferred older songs instead of the new modern music. They just seemed so much meaningful than the new hip songs on the radio. I’ve listen to these older songs and just never get tired of them no matter how many times I’ve listened to them. I guess that’s why they call them “Oldies, but goodies.” These songs always get you on your feet, make you feel good, or just sing along with them. I just love every single one of these songs, that's why I want to share them with you. I feel like no matter how old or young you are, you should know these songs or listen to them now:

  1. Born in the USA” - Bruce Springsteen

  2. Can’t help falling in love” - Elvis Presley

  10. Livin’ on a Prayer” - Bon Jovi
    1. Here's a funny video to go along with this song.

  13. Imagine” - John Lennon
  14. Twist and Shout” - The Beatles
    1. GET UP AND DANCE!
  15. Let it be” - The Beatles
  16. Hotel California” - Eagles
  17. Piano Man” - Billy Joel
  18. Uptown Girl” - Billy Joel
  19. My Heart will go on” - Celine Dion

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
