Warning! If you haven't watched "Friends," it may contain spoilers!

"Friends" is a classic sitcom fans never get tired of watching. Although the show premiered in 1994 and ended in 2004, our love for this light-hearted TV series never dies. We tend to have moments in which we reference "Friends" to. We also think about lessons we learned from "Friends."

Here are some important life lessons to learn from the iconic TV show:

1. Be there for your friends

It's important that you make time for and have fun with your friends since they are supposed to be like family to you.

2. Whether you're single, in a relationship, married, etc, make time for your friends

Whether you date someone or not, don't dump your friends. Your friendships are still your priorities.

3. Coffee shops are one of the best environments

The smell of coffee, the relaxing atmosphere, and the couches.

4. Yell this whenever you're moving

Yelling "PIVOT" might motivate you even more to move things.

5. Don't give a crap about what anyone thinks of you

Life is too short to think of people's opinions and be uptight like Rachel. Phoebe's running style may be out of sorts, but what matters is she likes it and doesn't care if anyone thinks she's out of her mind.

6. Do not call someone fat behind their back

You're not cool, Chandler. You may be hilariously sarcastically, but when it comes to fat-shaming, it's not okay or funny!

7. ... Or even body-shame

Preach, Joey! Regardless of body type, it is never okay to body-shame anyone at all.

8. Life can really stink

The real world is full of challenges. Challenges may stink, you have the ability to conquer. Use this ability and show who you are.

9. It's never OK to make a pros and cons list about a person

Yes, we all have flaws. We are aware of it. Lists are for groceries, not for people. It makes people even more insecure about themselves.

10. If you're going to wear leather pants, don't let water get near them

Leather pants may be cool to wear, however, they will shrink when in contact with water. When in doubt, try to not be a character in this dating/leather pants horror story.

11. Keep your sense of humor

Having a sense of humor will help you get through hard times.

12. Use your "break" wisely

This "We were on a break" defense won't excuse anyone for cheating. There's a difference between "on a break" and "break up." Don't get the propositions mixed up.

13. You can fall in the love with the unexpected person at the unexpected time

It was unexpected that Chandler and Monica fell in love and even got married. At first, Chandler was Monica's brother's best friend. She had a crush on him, but they eventually became friends. They got together, engaged, then married. They were still each other's best friend.

14. Do not say the wrong name at the altar

Whatever you do, make sure you know who you want to be with, so you save yourself the embarrassment of saying the wrong person's name.

15. You're never too old to dress up for Halloween

The point of Halloween is letting your inner child out.

16. Use the tanning machine correctly

"Oh my God! You can do a duet of 'Ebony & Ivory' all by yourself." - Chandler

17. You're allowed to be silly

Being serious all the time is boring. Go ahead and be silly. It's more entertaining.

18. If you work hard enough, you can achieve your dreams

Rachel learned how to be on her own by getting herself a job and making her way to the top. She may not have gotten her dream job off the bat, but she managed to work as a waitress and eventually worked at Bloomingdale's and Ralph Lauren.

19. Do not date your teacher/student unless you want to hunted down by Bruce Willis

Or don't date anyone that involves an inappropriate relationship in that matter because I'm pretty sure there's a Bruce Willis aura in every parent.

20. What happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas

When it comes to marriage, it does not stay in Vegas because they're actually legal marriages. Whatever you do, don't get drunk, go to a church, and then marry your friend or someone you met 5 hours ago.

21. You don't necessarily need a "plan"

Just live your life.

22. Your first job won't be your dream job

Don't expect your dream job to be your first job. It's important to try a variety of jobs because it builds your skill level and adds to your experience in the workforce. No need to worry if you don't get your dream job at first. It's possibly a sign you're not ready yet, but will be eventually.

23. At last, three words

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
