Recently, I took a trip to my suitemate’s, Emily, hometown of Ontario, New York to stay for the weekend and see the musical that was being put on at the high school she graduated from. Ontario, NY is located just outside of Rochester. I was excited to go home with her because I felt like this time I was actually going to get the upstate feel. Yeah, I go to school upstate and sometimes I can feel the upstateness (if that is a word), but it is not the same because the college life masks it.

1. How much longer is it going to take us to get there?

2. The mountains are so pretty.

3. Trees…

4. Sketchy gas station…

5. More trees…

6. Some more trees…

7. Where are all of the houses?

8. Trees…

9. Aw that’s a cute house!

10. The lake [Lake Ontario] is gorgeous.

11. Have you ever tried so swim to Canada?

13. Your neighborhood is beautiful.

14. I love how much land there is.

16. The pizza was OKAY…

17. Mama Lor’s is such a nice restaurant…rustic…so country…kind of reminds me of Maureen’s Kitchen.
