The most important lesson I have learned during this Quarantine so far is to not take mundane tasks for granted. I used to dread going to the library to do my homework, complain about walking a mile to class, and want to stay home all day. However, after this is all said and done, I will never take those tasks for granted again.

I would give anything to walk to class again, or hang out with my friends and or even have a busy schedule. When life finally goes back to normal I know one thing, I am going to be more grateful for everyday tasks and excited when I have a busy schedule. With that being said, here are 22 things I will never take for granted again once the quarantine is up.

1. Buying toilet paper easily at the store.

2. Eating at a restaurant.

3. Shaking someone's hand when you meet them.

Rubbing elbows has got to go!

4. Giving a friend a hug.

5. Leaving your home just because you can.

Is anyone else wishing they could go on a Target run?

6. Going to class in a classroom.

7. Watching a movie at the movie theater.

8. Going to the grocery store without stress.

9. Hanging out with friends.

10. Studying at the library.

I can't believe I am a saying this, I miss Strozier.

11. Going to work.

12. Not washing your hands excessively.

My hands are so dry!

13. Attending a party or celebration.

14. Having a busy schedule.

I have way too much time on my hands currently.

15. Going to the beach or pool.

16. Having a reason to get ready in the morning.

I haven't put on makeup or straightened my hair in weeks.

17. Going on a vacation.

18. Attending a game or sporting event.

Basketball season, I miss you already.

19. Getting your nails or hair done.

20.  Hearing someone cough and not being terrified.

I keep forgetting it's allergy season.

21. Practicing with your team.

Calling all my athletes! Anyone else missing their team as much as me?

22. Having a daily routine.

We don't buy into these... just like how we don't buy our friends.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
