For me, coming to college is the first time I've shared a room with someone in a very long time. When you share a small confined space with someone, you tend to get close. These are just some of the texts I've encountered through my experience of having a roommate in college.

1. "Hi, are you okay?"

2. "Hungry?"

3. "Are you getting food?"

4. "When's your next class?"

5. "Where are you?"

6. "What do you need at the store?"

7. "Hi when will you be back?"

8. "Where are you sitting?"

9. "Let's get food when you get back"

14. "Wanna go for a car ride?"

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
