Punk rock as a musical style emerged in the '70s in concentrated punk scenes in California, New York, England and Australia. Pioneers of punk and successful early punk bands include the Sex Pistols and The Clash in England, The Ramones and Television in New York, and the Germs and the Angry Samoans in California. Isn't this article way better than those articles that lie and you get one less point on the list than you thought? They do it just to make you read more articles—and usually it doesn't even work! How dare they! I did just the opposite—you got more than you thought you would. What a bargain!
