1. Lost.
Our all time favorite show. This series begins with a plane crash leaving the survivors stranded on an island. It is so much more than just a show about survival. It will keep you on your toes from start to end; nothing compares.
2. Broadchruch.
Our current obsession. An emotional show, about a murder of an 11-year-old boy. This is not normally my cup of tea - I can’t handle shows similar to this about children now that I am a mother, but the storyline of this show is so intense and well put together we can’t get enough.
3. Shameless.
Literally, this family knows no bounds. You need them in your life (especially if you want to feel better about your own family).
4. The Killing.
Detectives Linden and Holder are a perfect match for this enthralling crime series.
5. Supernatural.
Ahh the Winchesters, what’s not to love? This series has been going for many years, but it is still so enticing. All of the elements in the storyline, as well as the plot of each individual episode, are flawless.
6. Blacklist.
Because, Reddington.
7. Orange is the New Black.
Does Piper really deserve her sentence from a crime committed and left far in her past? Let’s see how she fits in with the rest of her prison mates, who also think they don’t belong there.
8. Stranger Things.
This Netflix Original is certainly original, we haven’t watched anything else like it. A story of a missing boy and a girl named Eleven with psychokinetic powers.
9. Paranoid.
An investigation of a woman killed while at the playground leads to a much bigger mystery.
10. Marcella.
This stay at home mom is back to work as a detective on a case about a serial killer. But, with marriage problems, a child lost, and rageful fits - what is really going on with Marcella?
11. Dexter.
Ever love a serial murder? This blood splatter analyst has the perfect job to cover up his murders, but what will his double life cost him?
12. The Fall.
Another show about a serial murder, but this time starring Jamie Dorman. See what this 50 Shades of Grey star is up to when he isn’t a half naked billionaire. Also starring “Detective Scully.”
13. Californication.
While The Fall features “Detective Scully,” “Mulder” is the star of this captivating series as Hank Moody. He is truly one of a kind - and so is his relationship with Karen. They can never seem to get it quite right, or can they?
14. Weeds.
Ballsy Nancy Botwin, a widowed mother does what she can to make ends meet, but where will she draw the line?
15. Friday Night Lights.
So much is packed into this “Remember the Titans” type series which is based on a book.
16. The OA.
Another Netflix original - that is completely original. A girl who was missing for years and was blind can now see, but how?
17. Bloodline.
A well known, tight-knit family that falls apart when their secrets start to surface.
18. Making a Murderer.
A documentary about Steven Avery, who unjustly served 18 years in prison and was acquitted, only to be sent back to prison for yet another crime he didn’t commit; or did he?
19. Prison Break.
Who else is excited about the return of this show!? Let’s hope it’s just as good as it was when it first came out. If you haven’t watched it yet, what are you waiting for...
20. The Following.
Starring Kevin Bacon, this series about a murderer who has many allies is full of twists and turns you won’t expect.
21. The Office.
This office comedy is sure to make you laugh. If you haven’t already watched it, you’re missing out. “Reject a woman, and she will never let it go. One of the many defects of their kind. Also, weak arms.” - Dwight Schrute
Last but certainly not least:
22. Sons of Anarchy.
Jax Teller... Need I say more? Well since my husband loved this one too, I guess I should. This is definitely our second most favorite show we’ve watched together. A journey of love and pain, and straight-up badassery.
