16 Texts I Sent On My 21st Birthday

In This Article:

I went out at midnight on my 21st birthday and I did all the shots. And when I say all of them, I mean all of them. There was a lineup and I was not allowed to leave until they were all gone. All I have from that night are pictures and texts and they are pretty much nonsense. Enjoy.

1. "There's free popcorn here"

Early in the night. This makes sense. Shoutout to bars with free food.

2. "They got me a crown that lights up. It's seagulls."

My light up crown and me!

I'm pretty sure "seagulls" is supposed to be "awful," but honestly, who knows?

3. "Help I'm drunk"

This was after drinking one shot.

4. "In•?+{ you !!!"

Not sure.

5. "They are playing that song yuike"

No, I don't remember what song it was.

6. "Anthony got me tota"

Tots. Also, thanks @anthony

7. "I'm going how Ben use hmm tired ansnmy contacts"

Seriously, no idea.

8. "I want to makeSnow angel in the sand"

Ok then.

9. "khheheafnai are nt i cute"

Yes, so cute.

10. "yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!@?msksn"

Something had to have been exciting.

11. "Holy ducky I'm drunk"

Nice.

12. "tatbilb haha lol"

I think I was coming up with an acronym.

13. "come get me"

And by there, I mean home. Take me home.

14. "Tots"

BIG mood.

15. "antdon says hi"

I think that was "Anthony says hi," but your guess is as good as mine.

16. "Hah"

Laughing at someone? Something? Not sure.

All of these texts I blame on my best friend Kayla, who kept the shots coming. And the first text I sent the next morning? "I'm going to kill Kayla."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
