When you’re sitting down at a restaurant with a group of about ten people and you can literally predict off of the top of your head what every single person will order, down to “no onions” or “extra spicy mayo,” you know you’re either just really creepy or you’ve been best friends with the same group of kids since you were transitioning from diapers to pull-ups. In this case, I’ve had the same best friends since I made my first Club Penguin account, which yes, was a very long time ago. Not many people can say they’ve had the same “crew” for longer than they can even remember, minus a few stragglers that got dropped or picked up over the years, but still, this is something really special. It’s not every day that people can say they have a solid ten people that they know for a fact will always have their back, and will drop anything, and then cross state borders to come be by your side if you need them. If this sounds like you, read this list to make sure your squad is the real deal:

1. You’re better friends with their family than you are with them.

2. You can not talk for weeks but when you see them its like no time has passed.

3. You show up at their house uninvited.

4. Their fridge is your fridge (or more importantly the pantry where all the snacks are).

5. You can spend hours reminiscing about your second grade science teacher.

6. You snap chat their siblings.

7. Half of your wardrobe is filled with their clothes.

8. You don’t have anymore storage on your phone because of all the “blackout” videos you’ve received of them that you had to save.

9. You automatically assume they are your weekend plans because who else is there?

10. You know all of their pet peeves, and probably use them against them way too often.

11. You know you’re going to be the coolest mom squad out there…one day

12. You have your own language.

13. You can read each other's minds when you are in a sticky situation.

14. You finish each other's sentences.

15. You pay for each other's meals...and will probably never get paid back, but you're ok with it.

16. You constantly butt-dial them because they're always on your "recent calls."

17. You're always watching the same show on Netflix...so you can talk about it for unreasonable amounts of hours after every episode.

18. You guys are always the first one to like each other's Instagram picture...and you probably edited it too.

19. You guys hate all the same people.

20. You stop feeling the need to wear pants around them.

21. You've probably already started writing your bridesmaid and groomsman speech because lets be honest, you know you'll STILL be Best Friends.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
