So, we are now getting into the week of midterms, and it couldn't just possibly, totally not be the best week of our lives. (Insert sarcasm here.) not really. During midterm week is pretty like finals week, but a bit worse. Midterms are a point in the semester that is either going to make you or break you during the final countdown of weeks in class. There are so many things we have to do pass during this week, and we have so many things going through our mind while either studying or walking on the campus on the days of our midterm week.

So many thoughts, but too many to list. So, here are 21 thoughts college students, like myself, have going through our minds during the week of midterms.

1.) "I have so many papers to write, but I have to catch up on Netflix. Ugh, decisions, decisions."

2.) "why am I studying to become a nurse? Why am I even here? Why can't I have just been born a bird and not worry about school?"

3.) "I wonder if Lisa is going to have pizza and soda at the study session."

4.) "I wonder how my date really thought I looked like at prom? DID HE THINK I WAS FAT?!"

5.) "hey, you girl with the ponytail, can I borrow your brain, because I feel you're more prepared than I am."

6.) "why are there so many papers that I have to write in order to pass? It's as if they want us to just write a novel with all this stuff we have to write."

7.) "no! I need more change to print out my papers that are due in .000345 seconds."

8.) "oh magic ball, will I pass?"

Magic ball: "blank."

9.) "I wonder if I have a panic attack about the exam, the professor Will give everyone A's!"

10.) "I should probably check on my Neopets. I haven't seen them since I was 12."

11.) "I wonder if I drink this really caffeinated beverage, it will help me stay awake for the next few days, and help me pass? "

12.) "I wonder what apples and pears taste like blended together in a smoothie?"

13.) "oh! Victoria's Secret is having a sale this week! I must tell Emily!"

14.) "can batman beat superman?"

15.) "if I go and bribe my professor with a puppy, will she go easy on me during the exam?"

16.) "oh my gosh! Free Starbucks during the week of exams! YUS!!"

17.) "okay, so test time, I need to stay calm and remember all of the demonic meditations I did before class, and to make sure to release the demons if I have a question."

18.) "is the test over? Can I go home now?"

19.) "well, if I don't pass, my parents did say I can always come home and work on the farm for the rest of my life and marry Jim bob McGee."

20.) "oh god, did I forget to empty the laundry out of the washing machine?"

21.) "you know, this test wasn't that bad after all."

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
