21 Thoughts During Finals Week

It's that time of the year again. Nope, not Christmas; the few weeks of hell before it. We have all been through it and here are a few of our thoughts:

1. Ok I’ve got this

We're going to need a few pep talks.

2. Wait, how many assignments do I have to complete in the next week? That’s impossible!

Goodbye, sleep.

3. Netflix sounds so good right now

My savior. Take me away from this hell you call reality.

4. C’s get degrees

At least I have that.

5. One more episode and then I'll study

I promise!

6. Only 2 more weeks and then we're free!

14 days, 2 hours, 43 minutes and 52 seconds (51... 50... 49).

7. There is no way I'm finishing all of these assignments

I mean, I can try. I can't make any promises though.

8. I know nothing for this test

Waiting until the last week to learn the material was a mistake.

9. Can’t Christmas come faster?

Please?

10. It’s time for a nap

So sleep deprived...

11. I’m going to spend the whole day in the library

Now I just need to actually study. Someone take my phone away!

12. Well, I just wasted half of the day laying in bed

Waking up was a mistake.

13. I can't wait for these classes to be over

Just a few more days!

14. I need coffee

It's the only way.

15. Should I study tonight or go out?

I need a break from responsibility.

16. I should have paid more attention in class

Too late now.

17. Great, I have a final on the last possible day…

How dare you...

18. Take me home!

Mom, I'm done adulting. Would you please come pick me up?

19. At least I tried my best, that’s all I can do

I gave it my all, it's not my fault if that's not good enough.

20. This is the end… there’s no saving me now

See ya later, decent GPA. Hello, academic probation.

21. If only I didn't procrastinate

It seemed like a good idea at the time...

It's never a finals week without at least a few mental breakdowns. Best of luck!

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
