The past 21 years have been one heck of a ride for me. I've loved, I've lost, I've graduated school and started over. I've made new friends and said goodbye to old ones. Life is constantly changing and we're constantly evolving. Each mistake we make is a lesson that we learn from. Here are 21 things I've learned in the past 21 years of my life.

1. Love yourself 

2. Your parents are not getting any younger tell them you love them everyday 

3. Always remember your worth 

4. Always check on the people in your life 

5. Call your grandparents and check on them

6. Study hard in school 

7. It's okay to fail an exam or two (or five sorry mom) 

8.It's okay to make mistakes in life 

9. Sing your heart out to every song 

10. Go out and have fun 

11. Chase your dreams 

12. Fall in and out of love 

13. Never lose hope or give up 

14. It's okay to be content being alone 

15. It's okay to be content in a relationship 

16. Whatever you do is up to you 

17. Love recklessly 

18. Always tell the truth and be dependable 

19. Those who bring you down don't deserve to be around 

20. Laughter is the best medicine 

21. When in doubt use that legal ID to buy some wine

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester.
