Our cars are mini-homes AND they take us from point A to point B. Pretty great. So, in order to make sure your "homes" are always ready for lo que sea (whatever may be), here's

21 Things to ALWAYS have in your car:

1. Gum.

Or mints. Whichever you prefer.

2. A sweater/hoodie.

3. Bottle of water. Unopened.

4. Lotion.

Cold winds are brutal and cracked hands are the literal worst.

5. Chapstick.

See #4 for reasons

6. Winter gloves, hat, scarf, etc...

Stick em in a bag in the trunk. I had to put air in my tires at -4 degree wind chill last night. I was less than prepared and was exuberantly unamused.

7. Flip flops.

Get a $2 pair from Old Navy. You'll be grateful when you need 'em.

8. Sunglasses.

9. Phone charger.

10. Tire pressure gauge.

11. Old sock.

When you need to check your oil in the middle of nowhere, you'll want to have something to wipe off the residue on the oil stick (whatever that thingy is called) so you know when to add more oil.

12. Extra quart of oil.

See #11 for reason.

13. Powerbar.

Or some sort of food that doesn't expire and won't change/melt/freeze by temperature variants.

14. Kleenex.

15. Air freshener.

If your car is like your room, it's gonna smell sometimes. Keep it smelling decent.

16. Umbrella.

17. Raincoat.

18. Sunscreen.

If you're pale like me, you don't want to end up at the lake/beach/outside in general during the hot months and get seared like orange chicken.

19. Blanket.

Park days or cold nights will thank you.

20. Towel.

If you lost in the rain or do something gross, you're seats and floorboards will thank you to cover them up with a towel.

21. Hat.

Ball-cap, beanie, sombrero, etc....Just no fedoras. Pls.

This is just a short list. Comment below other things you think should ALWAYS be kept in a car!

Cheers,

ZER
