As the countdown to my 21st birthday begins, I’ve started to reflect on the past 21 years of my life. Even though 21 is still young, I genuinely feel that I've learned a lot about myself and the world around me on my path to adulthood. I wanted to share with you all the little life lessons that I've come to realize throughout my life. The most important realization I've made is that life is way too short to not live every day like it's your last. Always appreciate every moment and never take anything for granted.
- Never stress the small stuff
- Always make sure to call your parents, wherever you are in the world.
- That cute guy hasn’t texted you back? Who cares, there are plenty of other cute guys to text.
- Never let anyone make you feel like you're not special.
- Don’t procrastinate, trust me you’ll regret it later.
- If someone walks out of your life, let them go.
- A true friend is one who will stay by your side when you find yourself in the emergency room.
- Treasure every moment spent with your family.
- Treat others the way you would want to be treated.
- Remember, day drinking isn’t a race. It’s a marathon.
- Start studying for that test a week before, sometimes two.
- Always take every good opportunity you get.
- You're not going to be good at everything and that’s okay.
- Not everyone is going to like you and that's okay.
- Never stop exploring.
- Try new foods.
- Be completely honest with yourself and others.
- Occasionally give yourself a break and go meditate.
- Guys will come and go from your life but your girlfriends will always have your back.
- The best friends are the ones who you can not talk to for months but when you see each other again it's like nothings changed.
- Always be yourself
