After working inpatient care in a hospital, you will come across many different people. But there are always those patients that stand out above the rest. Here are but a few of my favorites that I have experienced while teaching at a hospital.

1. The patient that pretends you aren't there

2. The patient that always needs something

3. The patient that sits on the call light a million times in a row

4. The patient with the overbearing family

5. The patient that worked in healthcare

6. The patient that thinks they are dying

7. The patient that hates millennials

8. The patient that apologizes for being in your way

9. The patient that is delirious

10. The patient that wants you to know their whole life story

11. The patient that always wants pain meds

12. The patient that just wants to go home

13. The patient that is embarrassed by everything

14. The patient that is never awake

15. The patient that never wants to be bathed

16. The patient that tells you how cute you are

17. The patient that tries to convert you

18. The patient that wants to see you every day they will be there

19. The patient that is way too honest

20. The patient that has been on WebMD their whole stay

21. The patients that make your job worth it

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school.
