There are so many things to love about Dallas, Texas and one of my favorite things is the food. There are so many choices originating from all over the world. Some of the most premiere restaurants serving gourmet food to hole-in-the-wall dives that take a little trust to even step foot in. No matter what you're in the mood for or if you're looking for a one-of-a-kind dining experience, you'll find it on this list!

1. Nick and Sam's Steakhouse.

Nick and Sam's is one of the top premiere steakhouses in Dallas, known for its mellow atmosphere and retro vibe. There is nothing bad on this menu and you'll have a dinner unlike anything else.

2. The Porch.

The Porch has some of the greatest sandwiches on toast you'll ever find. This place never disappoints and it will be a repeat restaurant for all who try. And make sure to try the "Gooey Butter Cake" for dessert and thank me later.

3. Hunky's Hamburgers.

Burgers, fries, chicken tenders, onion rings, whatever you order, you'll love. Hunky's is no doubt all-American food that everyone needs in their life.

4. Little Katana.

You want sushi? This is my go-to place every time. The sushi is so fresh and nothing ever disappoints about this restaurant. It's definitely a favorite find of mine and everyone must try.

5. Highland Park Soda Fountain.

Get taken back in time at this Highland Park dime. Really one of the most under-credited spots in Dallas that deserves every bit of recognition.

6. Emporium Pies.

Craving dessert after dinner? Emporium Pies is the place to go! The flavors change with the seasons so you always get to try new kinds of pie that are absolutely delicious.

7. Kitchen LTO.

The LTO in Kitchen LTO stands for "Limited Time Only." This restaurant gets a new chef every six months to bring a whole new type of food and menu! It's one of the coolest concepts for a restaurant that lets you try so many food options.

8. Coal Vine's.

If you're a lover of wood-fired oven pizza, then you've found the place! They're are so many similar restaurants in the area, but Coal Vine's offers a more unique dining experience.

9. Royal China.

This place looks super sketchy from the outside, but is really nice on the inside with even better food! They're known for their dumplings, which I recommend, but is a place that all Chinese food fans must try.

10. Gloria's.

Gloria's is a locally grown Mexican restaurant which began over in the Bishop Arts District. They're authentic recipe's and outstanding entrees are a must have.

11. Original Market Diner.

Get taken back to the '50s when you walk through the door of the home style cooking diner. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, every kind of meal you can have here is going to be a good one. Also, they have some of the best coconut creme pie ever.

12. Al Biernat's.

Al Biernat's offers fine dining of both steak and seafood, both of which, are never a wrong decision. The cuisine is fantastic as well as the service.

13. Saint Rocco's New York Italian.

Saint Rocco's is new to the Trinity Grove area and already making impressions everywhere. They play music from artists like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, have delicious entrees, and an authentic atmosphere.

14. Twisted Root.

Twisted Root offers to-die-for burgers every time and instead of order numbers, you get names of celebrities, athletes, and so on which only add to the experience.

15. Amberjax's.

Amberjax's offers an ever changing menu that is full of their fresh fish for that day. They have sauces poured over your fish that only add to the flavor. Always amazing dishes!

16. Hibiscus.

Cusine here is a lot like at Al Biernat's, just a little less fancy than Al Biernat's, but still just as delicious!

17. Bob's Steakhouse.

Many (a.k.a. my dad and brother) argue that Bob's is the best steak of your life. It's a place you'll go back to again and again and be just as impressed each time.

18. Fernando's.

Fernando's has a really cool setup to begin with. Stairs take you up to the second story restaurant (there is a store below) for one-of-a-kind Mexican dishes that will leave you impressed.

19. Maple Motor's Burgers.

This place looks a little sketchy from the outside and a little cramped on the inside but believe me when I tell you the burgers are worth it, time and a half.

20. Serious Pizza.

Located in Deep Ellum, these pizzas are probably the largest you've ever seen. New York-style pizza, Texas sized.

21. Steel Restaurant and Lounge.

With some of the best Japanese cuisine and sushi you've ever had, this restaurant is super nice!

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours.
