Move In Day is probably the biggest day of the year for colleges and incoming freshmen, the second biggest after Christmas of course. Almost everyone is experiencing a wide variety of emotions, -- anxiety, stress, joy, excitement, the list goes on. Some people just want to drop all of the heavy boxes of their shoulders, others want to take their time saying goodbye to parents and siblings, and some people are looking for the perfect Instagram opportunity.

1. When you arrive at 8 am on the dot hoping no one will be there, but there's already a long line of cars

2. When not going to the gym catches up with you because you're contemplating whether or not you're going to make it up the stairs to your room (even without your stuff)

3. Lowkey looking around for people you know

4. Trying to be casual when saying hi to the limited number of people you know

4. Realizing you didn't wear enough deodorant for the day

5. Feeling accomplished when you drop off two boxes of stuff

6. Seeing what a hot mess your room has already become in the first 10 minutes that you've been in there

7. When one of the football players grabs your mini fridge and carries it to your room for you

8. Feeling even more overwhelmed when you're roommate arrives9. When you remember everything that you forgot at home

10. When you accidentally drop your fragile drawer of underwear in front of your new hallmate acquittances

11. Constantly rearranging your furniture to find ~feng shui~

12. Getting annoyed when your wall decorations are already falling off the wall

13. Realizing you only have 2 outlets in your room

14. Having to deal with broken furniture

15. Not having enough space in your mini fridge for all of your ice cream

16. Also not having enough space for all your snacks

17. When your mom keeps making suggestions about where to put everything

18. And when your dad puts something in the completely wrong spot

19. Realizing you're going to need to expand the wall for a bigger closet

20. After being in your residence hall for an hour, you've already lost your key

21. Showing all your friends at home your new ~crib~ after you've finished decorating it

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
