21 More Things I Hope To Do

Oh, the places we'll go, the people we'll see and the things we would do.

21 More Things I Hope To Do
Alex Strohl

As days fly by, holidays fast approaching, the end of the year is very near. I reflect back on my article discussing 33 Things I Hope To Do in my lifetime. The new year is less than two months away and this list keeps on growing. I do not have a time constraint on these; a list of things to do before you "die" is kind of off-putting, isn't it? So I say I aspire to do these things, and I hope I get the chance, or I hope I make the opportunity for myself to accomplish these little experiences and feelings in my lifetime. I already mentioned thirty-three so I am going to add just a few more.

Well, let's not wait too long, let's get started!

1. Visit a Paris bakery, have a coffee and eat a croissant, listen to the sounds of the city. Enjoy the view.

2. Travel with limited supplies and find my way. May be hard but it is not impossible.

3. Go to a SuperBowl, scream and cheer no matter who the team it is.

4. Be an extra in a movie, have some screen time, doesn't matter if I am in the corner or in a .2 second scene. I WANT TO BE THERE.

5. Go to a masquerade ball, mask, an incredible dress, the whole sha-bang.

6. Go to a Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon taping, that will probably be the best day of my life.

7. Walk the Great Wall of China.

8. Bungee Jump. More than once. Adrenaline junkie what can I say?

9. Go on a road trip, East to West of the good ole United States.

10. Helicopter ride over New York. Maybe at night, that would be breathtaking.

11. Have a piece of art in a gallery, inspired by me.

12. Lead a self-love movement. Inspire teenagers.

13. Adopt a dog, or seven.

14. Get a PhD. Hard work but SO worth it.

15. Trek through a rainforest, experience exotic wildlife and all of its wonders.

16. See the pyramids in Egypt.

17. Stay in a haunted place for a number of hours. Don't even ask me why I put this I just know I want to do it.

18. Attend a ballet show.

19. Go to Bali, learn a lesson from the people that live there. Learn about life, and the small things about theirs.

20. Experience zero gravity.

21. Be who I want to be, even if that means traveling the world to figure it out.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.
