As my last week of being 21 approaches is here, I just want to reflect on the past year. All the life changes, and the way I have changed as a person.

To be honest, 21 was shitty. A lot happen, made some stupid mistakes, let people walk all over me. But here I am learning a lot of who I am and the person I'm suppose o be.

1. You will lose close friends.

2. If they want to be in your life, they will be.

3. Being honest is the best option.

4. Communication is key.

5. If you have a passion, pursue it with full force.

6. It's okay if you don't graduate on time.

7. Being open with your struggles will help others.

8. College will always be there.

9. You can rock the dark lipstick, all you have to do is own it.

10. Everyone is going to get engaged, and you won't.

11. No one can actually see your scars.

12. Staying at home on a Friday night is fine.

13. Feel good for yourself.

14. Do things and go places.

15. Be kind to those that did you wrong.

16. Challenge is good.

17. You cannot please everyone.

18. The past may be in the past, but it can still hurt.

19. Sometimes people will use you to get what they want, and you can't do anything about it.

20. Always wash your makeup off and wash your face before bed.

21. Live for today.

Here's to finishing 21 strong, and here's to accepting 22 with loving and open arms.

On the Upper East Side, Blair Waldorf is an icon. She's what every girl aspires to be. She's beautiful, confident, and can handle any obstacle that life throws at her. Sure, she may just be a television character. But for me, she's a role model and theres a lot that can be learned from Queen B.

Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
