Sometimes life is rough. It can make you beaten down and worn out. Next time you feel like succumbing to the pressure that surrounds everyday life, remember that you deserve recognition for each of these everyday feats.

1. You’re still alive.


Even if it's just barely.

2. Your pet is still alive.

Taking care of your own self is hard enough. Being responsible for another life sometimes seems impossible.

3. You got out of bed.


It's so easy to just roll over and fall back asleep, but you fought that urge and you should be proud.

4. You put on pants today.

Yes, leggings do count.

5. You ate a meal.

Look at you, taking care of yourself!

6. You exercised.

Yes, walking from your bed to the fridge counts.

7. You went to work, class, or both.

This adulting thing is hard.

8. And got there on time.

That my friend, deserves to be recognized and celebrated.

9. You remembered what day of the week it is.

It's the little things.

10. You took a shower.

You should take pride in your personal hygiene skills.

11. Your bank account balance isn’t negative.

Next step: try not to go broke.

12. You remembered to pay your rent.

Goodbye money.

13. You had a conversation with someone.

You deserve a pat on the back for this one.

14. You’ve done laundry within the past month.

It's hard to find time for these things.

15. Your road rage was significantly subdued.

Only two outbursts today? You go girl.

16. You didn’t talk back to your boss today.

Your mental discipline is on fire!

17. You only went to Starbucks once.

It is an addiction.

18. You didn’t get drunk before 5pm.

And girl, I know you wanted to.

19. You didn't spend your whole day watching Netflix.

Sometimes it's just easier to live vicariously though TV shows.

20. You only cried once today.

I'm proud of you, boo.

21. You didn’t text your ex.

You deserve all the gold stars for this one.
