The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (located in Champaign-Urbana) is in the middle of corn. Corn. What can you do with corn besides eat it? Nothing. And it's not like you can head on over to some big city if you wanted to do stuff. You can't really hike anywhere. But let me tell you something, there's a heck of a lot of stuff to do at U of I, so make sure you check these 21 things out! (Especially the last one, but I'm biased.)

1. Cheer on Illini Football from Block I

2. Eat at the Cracked food truck

3. Take a picture in front of the Alma Mater

4. Swim in the ARC pool

5. Picnic on the Quad

6. Rub the nose of the Lincoln statue before an exam in Lincoln Hall

7. Go rock climbing at the ARC

8. Go to late night at PAR

9. Go bowling in the Illini Union basement

10. Visit Japan House and the Arboretum

11. Eat ice cream at Jarlings


12. Take a class outside your major just for fun

13. Go ice skating at the ice arena

14. Take a walk through the Krannert Art Museum

15. Ring the bells in Altgeld Hall

16. Try every restaurant on Green Street

17. Cheer on Illini basketball from Orange Krush

18. Get insomnia cookies delivered to the UGL

19. Go to a gymnastics meet

20. Attend a show at the Krannert Center

You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
