1. Not Your Mothers Beach Babe Texturing Dry Shampoo
We all have those days when we roll out of bed and wish the day was over before it began. That shower that I should have taken the night before never happened and now I'm one hour behind regular schedule. Without hesitation, I grab dry shampoo. A few sprays, 3 minutes, and a quick hair flip leaves your hair looking clean and full of volume.
2. Eyelash Extensions
For years, I have spent hours on end trying to make my lashes look as full as possible. When eyelash extensions first became a fad, I was terrified of trying them after hearing all the fabricated rumors. Little did I know that eyelash extensions change lives. I wake up and am ready to go with just one simple brush. Lash extensions have cut my routine in half and have boosted my confidence.
The catch? Cost. Typically, a first-time set will be anywhere from $180-$280 and biweekly fills can cost anywhere from $40-$90. If you spend money on false lashes, glue, or mascara, I would recommend getting extensions.
3. White Claws
Looking for a way to get drunk without wanting to gag or gain 30 pounds in the process? White claws are your fix. I discovered white claws after spending most of my college career drinking Twisted Teas. Claws are a low calorie, cheap and refreshing spiked seltzer. I have never been a fan of beer, which makes claws the perfect solution for drinking games. Claws are for getting drunk without suffering the sugar hangover.
4. Velvet Scrunchies
Every time I shop at Urban Outfitters, I make sure to include a new color scheme of velvet scrunchies in my basket. Not only have I eliminated hair ties from my life, but also use scrunchies as accessories. My favorite set is the pastel package sold by Urban Outfitters for $12.99. You will never fail to see me with both a scrunchy in my hair and on my wrist.
5. White Sneakers
Every girl needs a pair of white sneakers in their life. I'm not talking about a pair of running shoes either. I'm talking about a pair of Air Force 1s or Adidas Superstars. My favorite type of outfit is a casual dress, jean jacket, and white sneakers. These will give you more of an edgy look while also allowing you to dress down any outfit.
6. Buxom Lip Gloss
Buxom is one of those products you will always find in my bag and the product I'm already ordering a replacement for before it runs out.
My pet peeve with any lip product is when they leave behind cracks and clumps. Buxom is the only lip gloss that I have found to leave my lips just the way they started after wearing off. Buxom gives off a candy-like scent and leaves your lips with a tingling sensation. My go-to Buxom shades are pink champagne and pink nude.
7. Anklets
Have you ever pick up a fashion habitat of one of your family members? When I was little, I admired my grandmas simple yet flattering accessories. I have a vivid memory of my grandma's gold ankle bracelet glistening in the sand during our tropical vacations. I now wear my own gold ankle bracelet because, with every downward glance, I am reminded of family memories.
8. Laura Mercier Setting Powder
This product has many uses in my daily routine. Breaking out? Use setting powder over concealer to ensure long-lasting coverage. Want to make your eyeshadow appear winged? Apply setting powder underneath your eyes on the outer corners. Problems with a shiny forehead, nose or chin? Press setting powder into these areas with a damp sponge for a long-lasting matte finish. Want a sharp looking contour? Apply setting powder under your cheekbones after contouring.
9. Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser
Combination skin is the worst. My face is mostly dry but full of oil in some spots. These conditions forced my skin into a meltdown. My dermatologist recently recommended that I try Neutrogena face wash and since has worked miracles. If you have skin like mine, I would highly recommend trying this cleanser.
10. Stila Glitter Sticks
If you haven't gotten the hint already, I'm addicted to anything glitter.
I have never been one to promote liquid eyeshadow, but these are to die for. The amount of pigment in these sticks makes them stand out against all the rest. My favorite way to use them is to apply a small dab to the inner corner of my eyes. This product comes in a multitude of colors, but I would recommend starting with a light shade.
11. Fenty Puma Slides by Rihanna
Unfortunately for you, these bad boys are limited edition. I wear my puma slides to class, parties, and pretty much anywhere else. The good news is that there is a huge selection of furry slides online.
If you can't find any, I found an inexpensive pair of pink slides on Amazon for $10.
12. Anastasia Brow Wiz
I'm mad it took me this long to discover the most natural looking eyebrow pencil on the market.
If your eyebrows are thin and light in color, this tool is made for you. There is nothing worse than eyebrows that look like they have been drawn on with a Sharpie. This pencil gives you just the right amount of fill and color.
13. A Gold Chain
I rarely switch up my necklace from the thin gold chain I wear around my neck. It goes with everything and adds a little edge to any outfit.
Whoever votes silver over gold is wrong.
14. Chrome Nails
Inspired by the one and only Kylie Jenner, this trend has wholly consumed me. If the nail salon doesn't have chrome polish, I'm not going.
My two favorite shades of chrome are pink and pearl. Chrome is more expensive and time-consuming, but completely worth it.
15. Boyfriend Ripped Jeans
I won't lie, I don't think everyone can pull off boyfriend jeans. I think this style is one for tall girls only.
I bought my first pair of boyfriend jeans from Urban Outfitters and am obsessed with their versatility. When looking for your own pair, make sure you buy a size up to achieve that baggy style. To make them unique, I often times add trendy buttons to the back pockets.
16. Edible Body Glitter
Originally used for a Halloween costume, edible body glitter has been an essential within my friend group for the past year. When Rihanna first released the Fairy Body Glitter Pom Pom, I was obsessed but my bank account was not.
Surprisingly, you can find cheap edible body glitter in the baking aisle. Typically, I apply the glitter to my chest and shoulder areas.
17. Mid Rings
Rings are an accessory I can never get enough of. Currently, I have two rings that I refuse to take off. I wanted to find an additional accessory to draw attention to my hands and then discovered the world of mid rings at a boutique on Long Island. My favorite mid rings are thin, gold, and simple.
18. Silk Scarves
Silk scarves are my go-to hair accessory. There are a number of ways to style these scarves. My favorite style is to wrap them around my head and leaving a knot/bow in the front. I do this a lot when doing my makeup, bad hair days, and while working out.
Another way to wear them is by wrapping them around your ponytail, leaving the remaining fabric to dangle. I use this look when going out to lunch, dinner, and other more formal events. Some of my favorite patterns include vibrant floral, checkered pink and pearl white.
19. A Bottle of New Amsterdam
Although I'm all for White Claws, some days they just don't do it for me. For the more wild nights, I need a bottle of New Amsterdam. Always go for the plain so that you can use any chaser.
20. Funky Sunglasses
I have learned the hard way that sunglasses are made to be broken. Three years ago, you could find a plethora of Ray-Bans in my collection of sunglasses. After damaging 6 pairs, I gave up.
Funky sunglasses are the move and are also my favorite accessory for dartying. Currently, my favorite sunglasses are from Forever21and priced at $14.
21. Anything Red
Las Vegas made me fall in love with the color red. When shopping for my trip, I was drawn to anything red as I knew Las Vegas would be the only place bold enough for this color. I invested in red sunglasses, a red dress, a red bathing suit, and a red tube top. After realizing how much confidence this color provides, my red obsession stuck. Red is for nothing but impressions.
