20 Things I Wish I Could Tell My High School Self

I always wondered why the high school experience was romanticized and over dramatized so much, maybe I just watched too many chick flicks. Anyway, I thought high school would be a great experience and "the best year of my life." I was wrong--it was only an ordinary experience. However, thinking back to those four uneventful years, there are a few words of advice I wish I could go back in time and give myself so I could have a more memorable high school experience.

1. Braces don't make you look as ugly as you think, or at least keep telling yourself that.

2. Join student government, might help with your future choice of major!

3. Talk to more people and make friends, it won't hurt!

4. Take geometry and algebra more seriously.

5. Go to a few school events here and there, they're not as bad as you think.

6. Learn to play an instrument.

7. Take French instead of Spanish, you're fluent in that language already!

8. Tell your parents and friends that you appreciate them more.

9. Enjoy those 8 hours of sleep you get.

10. Save some money for college, it's not a joke how expensive it is.

11. Make amends with that girl who stopped talking to you because of silly reasons.

12. Don't put so much thoughts into your looks, these people will only see you through Facebook in a couple of years anyway.

13. Don't take free textbooks for granted or complain about carrying them around (the struggle of paying for textbooks is real).

14. Don't stress over boys, they're not as great as you think.

15. Actually put effort into P.E, you're gonna have to actually make time to exercise later on.

16. Take more chances, stop playing it safe all the time.

17. That music you love? It's NOT just a phase, and it will get better.

18. Get to know your first high school friend's friend better. She's your future college roommate.

19. Get out of your comfort zone!

20. It's not like High School Musical, unfortunately.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
