Because I sure have learned a lot.

20 Things I've Learned In 20 Years

1. Your family is always there for you.

Your family and core group of friends will always be there with everything you do. They will support, guide, cheer, and strength you throughout your life. They help shape you to become an amazing person.

2. Making mistakes is okay. Learn from them.

I can't even count the amount of mistakes I have made in my life on both my hands. We all make mistakes and that is okay. The learned from those mistakes is worth making the mistake.

3. Don't change who you are to "fit in" or be liked by someone.

You pretty awesome so why change that? Don't change your look, lifestyle, and/or voice for someone. Don't even think about trying to lose some weight because you think they will like you better.

4. Be adventurous!

Go to a different state or country. Take your friends on a road trip. Visit places you've never been to.

5. Be curious.

Do something spontaneous that you normally wouldn't.

6. Be fearless.

Ask your boss for a raise because you know you deserve it! Dance in front of a crowd of people because you rock!

7. Learn when to say no.

You don't have to say yes to everything. Put yourself first and think about how it is going to affect you. Will it make you more stressed? If the answer is yes, then say no.

8. Stop saying sorry.

9. You aren't going to be liked by everyone and that's okay.

There are 7.4 billion people in the world. No matter what there is always going to be someone who doesn't like you, which is completely okay!

10. Your group of friends may change throughout your life.

Some friends will fall behind. Some friends will stick with you. Some will come out of the woodworks.

11. Dance it out.

Bring your blinds down and close the door. Put the music up and dance your heart out!

12. Don't stress over the little things.

Don't stress over the fact that your nail polished chipped. You'll take care of it later.

13. Say "I love you" more to the people who you really care about.

I know the three letter word is strongly significant hence why I said say it to the people you care about. In our world today, you never know what is going to happen. There is so much violence and uncertainty. Tell them you love them every day.

14. Be silly.

15. Kill people with kindness.

16. Celebrate the little things.

17. Listen to your parents. They're 99.9% right all the time.

They have been through it all and they know what is best so listen to them.

18. Write.

Keep a journal or a diary so you can look back at everything you did and how you felt about it.

19. Take as many pictures as you can.

Pictures are priceless. They capture the moments you wish you could hold on to for forever.

20. Be happy.

Do things that make you truly happy! You should always have a smile on your face.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
