The new year holds so much in store.

The odds may seem as if they are against you. I mean, 80% of people don't hold themselves to their promises they make on January 1st. You don't have to be these people. You can succeed if you believe in yourself. This is a sign that whatever you were thinking about promising to yourself is achievable, so go for it!

Want to lose weight? Go get that gym membership. Want to save more money? Put half of your paycheck away for a rainy day? Trying to find love? Put yourself out there and be verbal about your feelings. You can do anything you set your mind to. It's cliche, but it's true.

To the people who don't believe in New Years Resolutions: Whether it be because they are happy with their situation in life, or find them pointless; don't shame those who are trying to better their lives. Yes, there may be more people in the gym. There may be people that you think are rushing into relationships. Truth is, you have nobody to worry about but yourself and your negativity is doing nothing but harming the positive environment others are trying to create for themselves.

This year will be your year. You will complete at least one of your goals in some way, shape or form. You will not become a statistic of failed resolutions. You will overcome the negativity of others and better yourself in this new year.

Now go out there and accomplish your goals for 2019. It's your year.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
