Thinking back to the last couple of years, I have wanted to do so many different things. Go to a comedy show. Visit Philly. Explore an abandoned building. Some of the activities I was able to check off but many stayed as plans. So this year I made a bucket list of eight things I can easily complete this year.

1. Go to California.

Since high school I have been talking about how I want to go to the west coast, but this year I am going to make it happen.

2. Make time to read for pleasure.

I love reading, but during the school year, I am always reading textbooks and never have time to read a book of my choice.

3. Finally, turn 21.

This is something out of my control, but I am finally there. I've been watching so many of my friends turn 21 and now it's my year.

4. Eat at a Michelin-Starred restaurant.

I have been watching so many cooking shows with these great chefs and now I want to try the food I always see on TV.

5. Sleep less.

I don't think I have ever slept so much in my life. This year I have been going to bed early and waking up late, it's time to start living.

6. Go to a recording of a TV show.

This is something I have always wanted to do but never really tried.

7. Wear sweatpants less often.

I have been on a leggings and sweatpants kick that I need to get out of. I have so many nice clothes, and I don't wear them as much as I want to.

8. Go to a drag show in NYC.

I went to my first drag show a couple of years ago, and I loved it. Now I want to go to one in the city.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
