I have thought about it, long and hard, about what I want to do in 2018. To be frank, I haven’t a clue. I like to live life without plans and resolutions because they never really work for me. Not because they are not good because I don’t want them to work.

At this point of my life, I am not sure if new year resolution means anything to me. But I am going to start the second semester of junior year in college and I know I can’t just live life like I don’t care about anything. Because I do care, I want a future, a beautiful one. So, I guess writing this down for the whole internet to see is my way of committing to a new lifestyle.

Read at Least 10 Plays

I must admit that as a theater major, I really don’t know much about plays and playwrights. I know how theater productions works, but I haven’t really read many plays. I am eager to learn, but I do hate reading in English.

Exercise at Least Three Times a Week

I do wish I can exercise everyday but that is very unrealistic. I have never been a big fitness person, but doing exercise will help me in so many ways. I do believe that physical activities do not just benefit the body but also the mind, not to mention mental wellbeing.

Set a Weekly Plan and Follow It

I am a procrastinator. Setting a plan is good for me. I can manage my time, so I can easily finish everything I have in mind. Especially when I have a lot on my plate this semester. It will be so good for me. It definitely will be hard at first but when it all became a habit, it will be wonderful.

That is all I have in mind for 2018. Of course there are so many more specific things I want to do in 2018 but what I have above are things that I absolutely want to achieve.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
