2017 Will Be The Year Of Lady Gaga

2017 will be the year of Lady Gaga. She is ending this year in the middle of the spotlight-a spotlight that will only shine brighter for her in the new year.

After taking a break from music to appear on American Horror Story:Hotel, Lady Gaga is back in the music-game, gaining newer popularity since the release of her 5th studio album Joanne on October 21st.Named after her late-aunt (and her middle name), the chart-climbing album, featuring hit singles like "Million Reasons" and "Perfect Illusion," is an album of varied genres, crossing between country, pop, dance, rock, and electronic music. Joanne is an emotional album, taking the stories of pain from Gaga's life into songs she hopes will touch people in their own lives. Joanne is about Lady Gaga leaving her mark on the world.

For promotion for her new album, Lady Gaga went on a mini dive bar tour. She performed in Nashville, New York City, and Los Angeles, but many other people were able to watch as her performances were live-streamed on Facebook. And as everybody knows, when an artist releases a new album, they usually go on tour around the world! (Fingers crossed!). 2017 looks like the year the world could get a new Lady Gaga tour. She has not been on a solo tour since 2014 for her Artpop album.

Besides her possible-tour, there is the promise of a Lady Gaga Superbowl performance. She had been confirmed a few months back as the 2017 Superbowl halftime performer!

2017 is shaping up to look like a very Gaga-filled year. With a new album, a Superbowl appearance, and hopefully a tour, some new music videos, and an appearance on the next season of American Horror Story again, 2017 could be a successful year for Lady Gaga.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
