Driving down the road the other day I heard a preaching about prayer. It talked about how badly you wanted something and what you'd do to get it. It also explained lifeless prayers.
Now, if your anything like me. You're pretty laid back. You posses everything to be a winner but your ok with not getting last. With this attitude I expected to win belt buckles and money against girls with the drive to always win.
Needless to say it hasn't always gone my way. I've ended up wasting years of talent with my horse and sleepless nights of my own.
So I revamped my prayers. I started praying for specific things, not just His will. I started praying specifically for people that bothered me or hurt me. I haven't taken my horse out to testify a change in my career, but I know it will come. And so will another article. As for the people in my life, I've begun to not notice the things that bothered me. And the people who hurt me rarely contact me anymore.
Daily prayers for others and for my dreams have made me a better person. I've really grown up even more in a short time. Some days I don't feel like praying, especially for those who cause me hate and pai. Sometimes it feels like a hassle to pray. But I know down the road it'll strengthen my relationship with Christ. This new year I urge you to pray daily to better yourself, others, and your dreams.
