Well, 2017 is here whether most of us like it or not. The thought of a new year bring many kinds of emotions. Some of us think that because a new year has rolled around we have to make some kind of dramatic resolution or change something about ourselves. In reality, that's just a personal choice. Setting goals are always great, but sometimes New Years resolutions can be a drastic change when they don't have to be at all. We can all just take time to reflect on our past year and look towards a positive year ahead. It can be best to think of daily things you can change to make your 2017 the best it can be, and here are some examples.
1. GPA
Most of us college students stress about our upcoming semester GPA constantly. Take a look at your past semesters GPA and come up with an achievable goal for this semester.
2. Little Things
When I say little things I mean think of little things you can add to make your day a better day. For example, try and compliment one person a day. Or, try and call a family member once a day.
3. Health
Anyone can try and be a healthier person just by indulging in new foods that have more vitamins and minerals. Give some new healthy foods a try this year.
4. Relax
Many of us tend to stress ourselves out unnecessarily, so we should all learn to relax a little bit more this year. Take a bubble bath or light a candle in the room more often.
5. Treat Yourself
As cheesy as it sounds, it's so true. After working or studying for long hours we all deserve a little something for ourselves. Buy yourself that cute new pair of shoes you have been eyeing.
6. Travel
Traveling enhances creativity and gives people varieties. The gift of travel is priceless and can only expand your horizons. Go somewhere new this year.
7. Music
If you are one to always listen to pop music, try listening to rock or country. Different types of music can also vary your horizons.
8. Skin
Of course beauty and appearance aren't everything, but a nice soothing home made face mask can help you relax and can also give you healthier skin.
