The Year I Become The Best Version Of Myself In All Aspects Of My Life

For 2017, instead of narrowing it down to one thing I think I should change the most or improve upon, I came up with the idea of something else. I realized that this year, I want to become the best version of myself in all aspects of my life.

We can attempt to change our eating habits, we can say we need to go to the gym more and lose weight, we can say we’ll stop drinking soda, we can say we’ll try to stop being negative, but improving yourself can cover all of these topics. There are plenty of things that I want to improve on in my life, and I think striving to be my best self covers all of the general areas and allows me to improve myself in more ways than just one.

Being your best self can be defined as so many different things, and it can mean whatever you want it to mean. It can include being more positive, promising to eat a little healthier, stop focusing on the negativity, looking for the good in people and things, being kind more often, and being thankful for everything you have.

New Year’s resolutions are hard to keep. It’s hard to stick to one specific thing, for example, eating healthier. Instead of just solely trying to eat better, you can promise to try to improve your eating habits as well as improving yourself in other ways. So, when you can’t always eat well or you feel like you’re slacking, you can improve yourself in other ways that you choose. No one in this world is perfect, and I think that we all can use a little improvement in some areas of our life.

Some ways that we can all become our best self can include not procrastinating, trying something new (whether it’s a hobby, a book, or food), waking up early, going to bed earlier, talking to new people, laying off the sugar, going to the gym more, stepping out of our comfort zone, saying thank you more often, not involving yourself in pointless drama, being the bigger person, letting things go, and creating a more positive attitude in different aspects of our lives. In reality, becoming your best self is whatever you decide it to be and whatever you choose to make of it.

These are all ways in which we can improve ourselves and become an overall happier person. So, this year, let’s focus on becoming our better self in several areas of our lives instead of just one. That way, we’re really doing so much more for ourselves this year.
