Summary: The other night, I drove around my campus for five hours, picking up students and driving them to and from their various pregames and parties with a program run through our school. As riveting as this usually is, I decided to add a twist to the fun and make a sort of study.
Sample Kind: Simple Random. (a.k.a. whoever we picked up).
Question: What is your go-to pregame/frat song?
Here are my results:

Don’t Let Me Down – The Chainsmokers
Shots – LMFAO (II)

Come Get Her – Rae Srremurd
She Juicy – Lil Dicky
Paradise – Benny Benassi
Blasé – Ty Dolla $ign
Analysis: Truly a spectacular turn out from the student body of Elon University. We got a pretty mixed bag of people in regards to race, age, gender and general demographic-things. The majority of the songs were in the more predictable realm (*see Nick Jonas) but we also got some outliers in the mix.
As you can see, according to my calculations, artists like DJ Felly Fel were found a few standard deviations from the mean.
Conclusion: First and foremost, the Disney Channel artists are still stirring up the waters across college campuses nationally. From Wizards of Waverly Place to Elon University- Selena is still turning heads. The majority of the songs that were mentioned were no surprise. Drunk college students love to yell Jordan Belfort out car windows. Southern guys like to say “buck.” Not much new to report here.
Big thanks to all that participated in this study and stay tuned for the next installment.
