2016: The Year That Has Flown By

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! I feel like I yelled that just yesterday. The year 2016 has been a great one so far, but it has gone by far too fast. Days have turned into weeks, and weeks have turned into month. The fact that it is already October is both exciting and slightly disturbing at the same time.

I love the season of Fall, especially down here in Tallahassee. In Florida it usually feels like a muggy 90 degrees, and you can not be outside for more than five seconds without being drenched in sweat. So when Fall finally arrives, it is welcomed with open arms. Be that as it may, it is still disturbing how the year has gone by so fast.

Just yesterday it feels like I was arriving back in Tallahassee on January 4th to see the Florida State Seminoles take on the North Carolina Tarheels in basketball. That day started the second semester of my Freshman year and there was seemingly so much time ahead to enjoy. But in the blink of an eye classes ended, final exams were survived, everyone moved back home, and our Freshman year was over.

Even summer vacation went by in an instant. I had the whole month of May off along with June, July, and part of August. This past summer was the longest summer break I have ever had. Yet it also went by in a blur. One month of vacation, and two months of work at summer camp all zoomed by.

Arriving back in Tallahassee in mid-August, I was ready for school to start, but I was not prepared for it to go by so fast. We are now in October and mid-terms are essentially here. The weather is gorgeous, football season is in full swing, and Sophomore year is moving very fast.

There's an old saying that the year's get shorter when you get older, and I believe that is true. However, I am going to stick with another saying in that time flies when you are having fun. And here at Florida State, having fun is an everyday event.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. 6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
