We heard it over and over again. We heard it after the South Carolina Primary and after the Nevada Caucus. We heard it before Super Tuesday. The news and media proclaimed, "The Republican race is over!," and "Ted Cruz does not have a chance!"
But, we see they were wrong in their proclamations. Donald Trump came out of Super Tuesday only with ninety delegates ahead of Ted Cruz with 316 delegates, far less than what he needs. Ted Cruz won Oklahoma, Texas, and Alaska and came out of Super Tuesday with 226 total delegates. He just followed his strong debate performance last week in Houston, Texas with another strong debate performance on March 3, 2016 in Detroit, Michigan.
Fox News is writing Donald Trump off now. Mitt Romney just spoke at the University of Utah where he denounced Donald Trump. Donald Trump is coming under greater scrutiny as lawsuits are filed against him over his fraudulent Trump University. Ben Carson just dropped out of the race, and Marco Rubio continued his relentless attacks against Donald Trump in the last debate.
Ted Cruz is at another advantage with the next Primaries. Many of the next upcoming Republican Primaries will be closed. This will be to his advantage as Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, and John Kasich will struggle more and where Ted Cruz could win the conservative vote over. He has a home advantage in states like Nebraska, Kansas, Utah, Arizona, and possibly Hawaii.
He emerged and continues emerging as a clear alternative to Donald Trump 65% of Republicans are in search for. Ted Cruz has some additions of more people to his team who were part of the finance team for Jeb Bush before he dropped out. Ted Cruz strategically and methodically attacked Donald Trump at the last debate as Trump and Marco Rubio exchanged fire with each other once again. Ted Cruz once again shows himself as Presidential in his character as he speaks and focuses on issues that are important to voters.
The Republican Primary campaign is not over yet. Ted Cruz is not dead yet. The Republican race continues without a clear winner. Ted Cruz still has a chance to win the nomination.
