The party never really stops in New Orleans, Louisiana, but the city goes into full party mode when Mardi Gras comes every year. The weekend before, the week during, and the week after the streets of NOLA, specifically Bourbon Street, will be filled with visitors and local natives covered in beads and costumes.
New Orleans may be the host of the biggest Mardi Gras party every year, but Mobile, Alabama was where Mardi Gras originated. Parades and beads still fill the streets of Mobile every year, it’s not as crazy as New Orleans, but it's pretty close.

This bar is best place to celebrate the homeland of the original Mardi Gras. Yup, that’s right, this bar is in Mobile, Alabama. Right in the center of the city, therefore the best place to get a great view of the parades, and in perfect reach of the beads.
