2016 Potential Presidential Candidates

Good evening from the campus of Georgia State University here in Atlanta, Georgia. We have discovered new hopeful prospects for the 2016 Presidency.

These are my selection of individuals that I would consider voting for over those currently in the race. Please note that despite technicalities, such as deaths, naturalization concerns, and/or arrest records, these candidates are more than capable to become the next President of the United States.

1. The Grinch

“I am the Grinch that stole Christmas... and I'm sorry.”

Although the Grinch found it necessary to say and do anything in his power to ruin Christmas, he was able to turn around and apologize for the times he misspoke and/or dismissed the feelings of others.

The Grinch also tried to make up for any wrong-doing by proving he had in fact changed. Actually being able to admit being wrong was the Grinch’s first step in the right direction to becoming a wonderful leader.

2. Cristina Yang

“Oh, screw beautiful. I'm brilliant. If you want to appease me, compliment my brain.”

She’s brilliant and efficiently intelligent in the science world. Additionally, Cristina is fiercely loyal and passionate on topics she supports.

3. Zordon

“Rangers, you must act swiftly; the planet is in grave danger!”

Zordon was able to convince teenagers to save their city as well as the world. If that isn’t president worthy, I don’t know what is.

4. Elsa

"Conceal, don't feel; don't let it show."

Elsa is an experienced politician. The Queen is able to conceal her inner feelings despite hardships in any situation. She is also an advocate for women’s rights and funding global warming research.

5. Steve Urkel

"But...but, I never...I never got less than...than an A."

He’s a genius. Steve also shows a deep ability to be dedicated, and his wife Laura can elaborate on that attribute.

6. Leslie Knope

"No matter what I do, literally nothing bad can happen to me. I'm like a white male U.S. Senator."

Leslie weighs her options, and she just gets the legislative system. She's a confident, strong-willed, born leader.

7. Derek Shephard a.k.a. Dr. McDreamy

"It's a beautiful day to save lives. Let's have some fun.”

Also familiar with the medical world, Shepherd is Chief of Surgery at Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital. If Derek believes in something, he will go to desperate lengths to make it a reality. Who wouldn't want him as president?

8. Cookie Lyon

"Yeah, that's my name. Take a bite."

Despite her record as President, Cookie would be able to make judicial reforms. This no-nonsense woman would be able to relate to citizens of all classifications, as well as set the record straight on events that could happen.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.

No matter how functionally dysfunctional your friend group may be, if you're anything like me, you feel absolutely blessed to have found such a wonderful group of humans to call "your people." Here is what your friend group might look like if they were Disney princesses (and that wasn't just a thing you all pretended in your heads):
