2016 Fall Trends: Secret Societies!
Your Perception Is Not Reality

The Illuminati The Free Masons. You may have heard these names and many more when you think of Secret Societies. These organizations, obviously kept in the dark, have existed for ages, and many of its members are normal people, like you and I. There are so many advantages to being in a secret society, and that's why I think everyone needs to see this as the BEST fall trend for 2016! But what is my reasoning?

1) It's like a sorority or frat, but like, way so cooler! Since it's so secret, it keeps so much more mystery. And there's no stories on how you streaked through the quad and got caught by security because you brothers and sisters are sworn to secrecy. Awesome!

2) Those long ceremonial robes aren't just for rituals! Use your robes to keep warm at your school's sporting events and other outings. Nothing screams team spirit like a sacrifice!

3) Secret Societies are so vintage!

Since they've been around for like, ever, you'll look so retro wearing your secret society accessories! There's so many gorgeous pieces to mix and match, like rings, pins, and even masks! Sooooo fashionable!

4) Even celebrities are in with the trend too! We all know Beyoncé and Jay-Z are in on it, and let's not forget our powerful lizard leader President Barack Obama! There are even conspiracies that say Queen Elizabeth is part of the Illuminati. You'll be so amazed to see how many celebs are just like you when you start your secret membership!

5) Some societies are so punk and edgy! For example, Yale's society Skull and Bones, which both the Bush's and even John Kerry were a part of. The name is so dark and mysterious and would totally freak your parents out! When asked about the group, the two politicians said the group was far too secret to discuss. Why get a nose ring when you can be part of an organization with a name like that? So fierce.

6) Stay lit and turnt at society meetings! Secret Society get together's are probably so fun, and I'm sure there are plenty of mixers and holiday parties to go to! Drinks on the Grand Master Wizard!

7) Hello, Charity! Some secret societies give generously to those in need. The Shriner's have many hospitals and have charities that help those in need of medical attention who cannot afford it. So Bill Gates-y!

8) Look so in the know with fun handshakes and secret passwords! Being in a secret society is like having a million inside jokes! Have secret fun with you members in public by using your secret handshakes and passwords! Astonish and impress your friends with how secret you are! You'll be the life of the party in no time!

9) Be the "queen bee" of your society! In some societies, like the Organization of the Triangles, the leader is called the "Beloved Queen". What a super groovy label! Be the Regina George of your clique! You can even get "Beloved Queen" tattooed on your rib cage for a really nice touch!

10) "But what if I don't like my secret society?" You can still use the trends and accessories that come with the membership! You can buy everything on Amazon, right? And maybe you can even create your own secret society with your friends! So DIY chic!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
