The 2015-2016 College Football Playoff featured teams from the Big 10, SEC, ACC, and the Big 12. Michigan State versus Alabama and Oklahoma versus Clemson seemed like dream games, that is until they were played. The Crimson Tide steamrolled the Spartans and punched their ticket to the championship game with a 38-0 victory, while Clemson had a nice twenty point win over Oklahoma and punched their ticket to the championship game with a 37-17 victory. The College Football Playoff National Championship Game Presented by AT&T between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Clemson Tigers was an incredible game that ended with a 45-40 Alabama victory. With the first College Football Playoff in the books, teams all around the country now know what to expect out of the new system, but who will make it in this year?

The college football season begins on Friday, August 26, 2016 with a matchup between California and Hawaii, two teams that will be nowhere near the playoff thus year, but it means the start of another season. There are many teams who will make a run at one of the top four spots in the rankings such as Michigan, Alabama, Florida, Iowa, Michigan State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Clemson, and many more. Every team will put in everything they have during every game and will hope it pays off when the regular season finishes up. This years playoff will feature two teams who were previously in it and two brand new teams, but who are they? Ranking number one in the country will be the defending champs, the Alabama Crimson Tide, and following them at number two will be the team they beat last year, the Clemson Tigers. With Alabama and Clemson taking the first two spots, number three will be claimed by the LSU Tigers and the final spot in the 2016-2017 College Football Playoff will be held by the Michigan Wolverines. So, here is the projected match-ups for this years playoff: 1. Alabama Crimson Tide vs. 4. Michigan Wolverines and 2. Clemson Tigers vs. 3. LSU Tigers.

With the games set, who will go to the finals? The 2016-2017 College Football Playoff National Championship Game will be between two rivals, the Alabama Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers. Although Alabama will have the experience advantage, it will be LSU who takes home the trophy this season and becomes the second ever College Football Playoff National Champion.
