1. The Dress

The famous green Versace dress that J.Lo wore at the 2000 Grammy’s was dethroned this year by a simple and apparently black and blue dress. This dress will forever be remembered. The dress divided the world into two groups, the black and blue group and the white and gold group. For some people, it was black and blue while for others it was white and gold. This argument started when a picture of the dress started going around social media. The argument was so intense that it might've broken some relationships. A scientific reason of why people see different colors came out and no one understood it. One thing is for sure, it’s definitely white and gold.

2. Selfie Sticks

2015 brought us a stick. A stick that makes it easier for this self-absorbed generation to take those very needed selfies. The stick came on handy for group selfies and to reveal more of the background of your selfies. People using the selfie sticks were taking it everywhere, it caused some accidents. People started using their selfie sticks while on rides at amusements parks which became dangerous for the other people around. Now selfie sticks are prohibited in some amusements parks, especially Disney parks.

3. The Whip/Nae Nae Dance

A dance always has to take over the nation each year, from the Macarena to Gangnam Style. This year it was the whip/nae nae dance. The song is performed by 17-year-old rapper, Silentó. Everyone was either dancing to it or trying to learn it.

4. Man Buns

Men were letting their hair grow and styling it in a bun like any girl would do on a lazy day. Most people did not like this trend and others didn’t care because people should express themselves in any way they want. This trend became so popular that clip-on man buns became a thing for the unfortunate men that can’t grow their hair too long.

5. Netflix and Chill

The time three simple innocent words became more than just that. The phrase is code for hooking up. So it basically means “Let’s watch some Netflix first, then we’ll have sex”. The slang term became part of many memes, Vines and other social media outlets that made the slang term more popular than what it already was.

6. Kylie Jenner's Lips

As the year went by, Kylie's lips got bigger. Everyone talked about it, people were speculating that she got plastic surgery then she went ahead saying she "over lines" them. Kylie's real secret was temporary lip fillers. Everyone wanted Kylie's lips and since she is related to the Kardashians, she put out her lip kit line so we can get her lips and she can get our money.

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
